“Blockchain-Powered Clinical Trials: Enabling Patient Centricity”: PharmaLedger’s 5th and Final Open Webinar

Don’t miss PharmaLedger’s fifth and final open webinar: an exploration of our use cases under the Clinical Trial Domain.

We cordially invite you to join PharmaLedger’s fifth open webinar, “Blockchain-Powered Clinical Trials: Enabling Patient Centricity.” This webinar will cover our eConsent, Internet of Things (IoT) and Personalised Medicine use cases and how they work together to bring value to all those involved in the clinical trials ecosystem, especially patients.

Topics include how PharmaLedger is creating strategic partnerships through the use of blockchain solutions and a remote trial management platform; an overview of current clinical trial processes and challenges, along with possible solutions; how PharmaLedger’s use cases collect data to make personalised medicine possible and the value proposition to stakeholders; and how new tools and technologies are used throughout clinical trial management while satisfying regulatory concerns. Throughout the webinar attendees are encouraged to submit questions, which will be answered at the end by the presentation speakers during a live Q&A.

This free hour-long webinar will be hosted via Zoom, and attendees can choose to join us on one of two dates: the 8th of November 2022 (3:00-4:00 pm CEST) and the 15th of November 2022 (3:00-4:00 pm CEST).

Blockchain-Powered Clinical Trials: Enabling Patient Centricity Agenda

PharmaLedger’s Martin Hunt (Onorach) will moderate the webinar, and you can view the topics along with the presentation speakers in the agenda below.

Topic 1 – Blockchain-powered Clinical Trials: Forging Strategic Partnerships

PharmaLedger Speaker: Natalia Sofia (MSD)

Clinical trials are a crucial part of developing new medicines. The complex multi-stage research process can take up to 10 years, and many different stakeholders are involved. Natalia will discuss PharmaLedger’s Clinical Trial use case, which aims to create greater efficiency and safety through the entire process via blockchain-enabled solutions, all while assuring research integrity and a compliant governance structure.

Topic 2 – Blockchain-Enabled Trust and Transparency in Clinical Trial Management and Data Flow

PharmaLedger Speakers: Baldwin C. Mak (Boehringer Ingelheim) and Todd Culverwell (UCB)

This topic covers the challenges in clinical trials and how they impact the integrity of trial data, as well as the rights and safety of patients. The eConsent, Internet of Things (IoT) and Personalised Medicine use cases are highlighted along with the blockchain technology used to address issues related to clinical trials. These PharmaLedger use case solutions overlap and work together to bring digital and patient-centric solutions to clinical trials.

Topic 3 – IoT: Real-world Data & Evidence in Decentralised Clinical Trial Management

PharmaLedger Speaker: Maria Eugenia (Xenia) Beltran (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid)

Maria will discuss the Internet of Things (IoT) use case and the value chain of collecting Real World Data (RWD). PharmaLedger’s Clinical Trials use cases make it possible to collect, analyse and share data to create personalised medicine features and patient-centric solutions. Also to be covered: why we are using blockchain technology, and why sustaining a Digital Trust Ecosystem (DTE) platform brings added value to stakeholders.

Topic 4 – Insight: Human-Centered Design and Sustainability

PharmaLedger Speaker: Francesca Rocchi (Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital)

Francesca will introduce the hospital’s perspective on clinical trial management through PharmaLedger’s IoT (medical devices) and eConsent use cases. These use cases utilise new tools and technologies to create better experiences for everyone involved (patients, physicians, nurses, etc.), all while satisfying regulatory, ethical and data privacy concerns.

Live Q&A

Make sure to ask questions throughout the previous presentation topics. The PharmaLedger speakers will gladly answer them during this live Q&A session.
